The Tent Lives !!
Folks pitched in to lift the infinitely heavy "Big Tent" gently into Randy's truck. Skill, wisdom, power and luck were all involved in carting the tent up the mountain and then actually setting it up. It was missing a few parts, so an extra unused pole was modified and tied to the center-beam pipe.
Events:
Lots of Webelos joined us for a day of rock climbing, archery, tomahawk throwing, etc. The troop adults cooked for everybody so patrols and Webelos could spend more time goofing off.
The weather was fantastic.
Pain and Suffering:
In the "Ouch - that has GOTTA hurt !!" department: A few of the old scouts were up in a treehouse when gravity woke up and lowered them rapidly to the ground. One scout had to return to Boulder just to be safe. The rest were bandaged up a little and were able to stay.
So... pay attention !
